DumpJunk started when I dropped out of uni, backed myself, and bought a truck. No business plan, no investors — just a real belief that there had to be a better way to deal with junk than skip bins, flexi bags, and weekends spent at the transfer station. We're based in Red Beach on the Hibiscus Coast, and what started as a one-person operation has turned into something locals actually rely on.

Anyone can buy a truck and call themselves a junk removal company. Not everyone can say they're licensed. DumpJunk now holds an Auckland Council waste collector licence under the Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw 2026. That means you know exactly who's taking your junk, and where it's going.
